We were out watching birds when someone told us of a great horned owl nest so we decided we would go and see if we could find it. After parking, we headed up the hill and soon realized we should have gotten more detailed directions to the nest! Ross found the adult owl first - who led us on a little walk by flying from tree to tree. Huge wing span and neat sound when flying.
We gave up looking for the nest and headed back to the car. There was the nest - 20 feet from the road. Fun time!
